Licence

The MSP Challenge Simulation Platform, all its Editions (including but not limited to the North Sea Edition, Baltic Sea Edition, Clyde Marine Region Edition) and their source code are provided under the GNU General Public License Version 3 (GPL-3.0-only) license: https://opensource.org/licenses/GPL-3.0. In short, this means that you may copy, distribute and modify the software as long as you track changes/dates in source files. Any modifications to or software including (via compiler) the code must also be made available under this GPL-3.0-only license along with build and install instructions. Further conditions apply, see the license text.

Core code & GIS data derivative works: copyright Breda University of Applied Sciences.

Each of the required additional software applications has its own copyright holder and license that allowed Breda University of Applied Sciences to use and distribute it as part of the platform and editions.

All original GIS data also have their own copyright holders and licenses that allowed Breda University of Applied Sciences to use them. We only distribute their derivative works.

Privacy

We ask users to register to have access to the MSP Challenge Simulation Platform. For registration purposes we do not ask for any personal data (real name is an optional field). We are continuously doing research on the MSP Challenge Simulation Platform, on how it is used, what is it’s impact on users and how can it be improved. For research purposes we save data on the configuration file(s) that you use, that is only your username and the starting conditions you used in a session.

When publishing an article or sharing research results no personal data will be revealed.
